Job Description

An independent funeral home in Chester is seeking a Funeral Administrator. This is a vital support role ensuring the smooth running of our busy office.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and responding to email enquiries
  • Processing funeral documentation and paperwork
  • Managing the diary and scheduling appointments
  • Liaising with registrars, doctors, crematoria, and cemeteries
  • Handling financial transactions and invoicing
  • Maintaining filing systems and databases
  • Supporting the funeral arranging team

Requirements:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact
  • Previous office experience essential
  • Funeral industry experience preferred but not required
