Job Description
An independent funeral home in Chester is seeking a Funeral Administrator. This is a vital support role ensuring the smooth running of our busy office.
Responsibilities:
- Answering phones and responding to email enquiries
- Processing funeral documentation and paperwork
- Managing the diary and scheduling appointments
- Liaising with registrars, doctors, crematoria, and cemeteries
- Handling financial transactions and invoicing
- Maintaining filing systems and databases
- Supporting the funeral arranging team
Requirements:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact
- Previous office experience essential
- Funeral industry experience preferred but not required
