Bereavement Support Worker

A hospice in Bristol is seeking a Bereavement Support Worker to provide emotional support and practical help to individuals and families affected by loss.

Your role:

• Providing one-to-one bereavement counselling and support
• Facilitating bereavement support groups
• Conducting initial assessments of bereaved individuals
• Making referrals to specialist services where appropriate
• Maintaining case notes and records
• Contributing to the development of bereavement services
• Supporting training and awareness activities

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in counselling, social work, or bereavement support
• Experience working with bereaved people
• Understanding of grief and loss theories
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Ability to work sensitively with diverse communities
• DBS check required
